Finding the right building designer
Being involved in a huge construction building project – that of a whole neighborhood, put me in the position of the manager that has to take most of the important decisions related to the site. I had to find a construction company, to figure out a plan to save money, to establish a deadline, to meet with the building designer in order to establish a red line of the project and in the same time to convince all my associates that my decisions are good, reliable and safe.
The building design was seen from the start as an important milestone of the project, so it was clear that I had the ingrate role of finding the right person. Knowing that once the project is finalized I would have to find prospective clients and to sell the houses, I found it a bit intimidating to be the one that will have the last word in what concerns the design and the designer, too. I have no connection to architecture, nor to architectural engineering, so I had to ask the advice of all those around me and to filter on my own all the information I received.
My partners in the business have no connection to these domains either, but luckily, I have friends who had to do with construction companies and architects through their personal projects (house building mostly) or through their jobs. This is how I learned about this company. After nights of research, I reached the conclusion that this is the best company to contract. Of course, until then, I asked for some offers and checked the portfolios of all the companies that were recommended to me. Until present, out collaboration worked great, I have no complaints and I really hope the project will be completed in the same professional manner.
